9inch Capital Partners is a European micro fund-of-funds backing the next generation of climate and deeptech managers — from pre-seed to growth, across Europe and the US.
9inch operates two parallel strategies working in concert — combining deep climate conviction with frontier technology exposure.
We focus on the transformative sectors defining the next industrial revolution — backing the fund managers closest to the frontier.
Backing the infrastructure, software and hardware enabling a net-zero grid — from synthetic aviation fuels to green methanol and direct air capture.
Investing in resource loops — battery markets, fibre-to-fibre recycling, supply chain transparency, and next-generation materials.
Enabling technologies including AI-native platforms, robotics, bioscience and next-generation computing infrastructure.
Direct air capture, critical metal extraction, new cement chemistries, and industrial process transformation at scale.
Alternative proteins and next-generation food systems that decouple nutrition from environmental harm.
Enabling financial infrastructure — asset management platforms, wealth advisory AI, and embedded finance primitives.
9inch invests alongside a curated network of fund managers across Europe and the US — spanning clean tech, deeptech, and frontier technology. Our portfolio reaches 150+ underlying companies, with a target of 300+.

Martin founded 9inch Capital Partners in 2023 with a clear vision: build a lean, high-conviction micro fund-of-funds giving sophisticated European investors access to the world's best climate and deeptech fund managers.
His career spans Deutsche Bank, Erste Group, and CFO/deputy-CEO of Volksbank — bringing institutional investor experience, banking and entrepreneurship together. He also founded two start-ups himself, one of them eventually sold to Heineken.
As sole managing director, Martin handles fund selection, LP relations, and day-to-day operations, while convening an Investment Committee with domain experts across climate and deeptech verticals.
